I got some new CDs today. Finally, I have the latest A Perfect Circle album. I haven't listened to it much yet. But I can see why some folks don't like it. It is not a heavy followup to the first album. There's a new lineup for the band and new style. And it is not "Tool-Lite" either. Tool might be my favorite band depending on the day. A Perfect Circle is up there.
Speaking of somebody's who's also up there for me, Beth Orton. I have some new Beth Orton stuff to listen to. There sure have been a cluster of releases from her lately. I don't have the remix disc, but I do have Pass in Time. Maybe her first album will be re-released soon. But I can't help but to think the recent release are just ways for the music label to make a quick buck on somebody who is gaining fame in the US. Should I really complain? Nope. Release everything. Let the fans decide.
Superglue does not stick to superglue. That, dear readers, is a very cruel, inside joke.
I may pick up that Beth Orton remix album tomorrow, fill out the collection a bit more. I've been waiting for the 2004 Short Story and Writer's Market to come out. It is supposed to be out in October, which is now! But yet nothing. I need that book. I probably should just pre-order and wait. I hate waiting.
One time... I ordered a special edition Night of the Living Dead DVD for $6. It never came, and I forgot about it. Over a year, more than 365 days, it came in the mail. I was lucky to have the $6 in the bank. And when I got it, it was a two disc, really special, numbered edition DVD. Though some may say it's crap, but I like it. There are two versions of the movie, both remastered, and one with extra footage shot for the anniversary. The extras included documentaries, behind the scenes, trailers, and so on and so on. All I had to do to get is wait a year.
So maybe I should wait about this and that sometimes.
