It only took a few hours for my computer not to boot. I got a new power supply today. I ordered a 450 watt and a got a 550 watt. Some may say that's lucky, but with all things computer related, they come with curses and inflections... especially to me.
A few years back, I had to replace a power supply that the fan had stopped in. When the fan stopped, it slowly burned inside. I ordered a new one. I put the new one in, connected everything, screwed every things in, turn the computer on, and the power supply caught fire. It took less than 60 seconds for me to unscrew that one and take it outside to finish burning. The company I ordered that one from was real cool and sent me a new one.
Tonight, I left the power supply outside of the computer and tried it out first. It booted just fine. I put it, screwed everything in, attached everything again, and then my computer wouldn't boot. I had to disconnect everything and try everything one at a time. Everything's up and running now and has been for sometime.
I need a Y connector thing. I'm one connector short and couldn't connect all my lighting. That's for tomorrow. I also need to check my thermal grease on my CPU heatsink. Ah, don't you just love things that could kill me if I touch them the wrong way? I need to write about the time I tried to adjust a fan while it was on and let my finger slip into my CPU fan. The blade went all the way to the bone and kicked my hand out of the computer. I saw blood in the air that looked like pink, chalk dust.
