The other day Donald Rumsfeld was on C-Span ranting about Saddam and Osam Bin Ladden. The problem was that he was getting the two confused. When I saw this, I immediately "Ah ha! This is explains why we went to war. Everybody in the Bush administration is confused!" But it couldn't be that simple could it? Could Bush be as confused as Rumsfeld?

"The message is that there are known knows -- there are things that we know we know. There are known unknowns -- that is to say, there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- things we do not know we don't know. And each year we discover a few more of those unkown unknowns." - Donald Rumsfeld.

Maybe it's not confusion. Maybe it's just incompetence.
