COUNTIES OF BIBB...CLAY...RANDOLPH...PICKENS...SHELBY...TUSCALOOSA...
TALLADEGA...JEFFERSON...FAYETTE...CLEBURNE...CALHOUN...ST. CLAIR...
WALKER...LAMAR...ETOWAH...BLOUNT...WINSTON...MARION AND CHEROKEE. THE
WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 AM CST WEDNESDAY MORNING.
A STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHED ACROSS CENTRAL ALABAMA...AND A WARM AND
MOIST AIR MASS...WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAIN IN
PARTS OF NORTHERN ALABAMA THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.
ALTHOUGH RAINFALL IS NOT EXPECTED TO BE CONTINUOUS...SEVERAL
INDIVIDUAL WAVES OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD EACH BRING AN INCH
OF RAIN OR MORE TO THE AREA. THE AREA WITH THE GREATEST THREAT OF
HEAVY RAINFALL IS GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 20.
