I just voted. Who wants to guess whom I voted for?
There were problems at the polling place. They seemed like new problems because folks were having to look up how to deal with things. The phone numbers that they had to call were busy here in Alabama. I can only imagine how things are going in other states, states of importance. Yes, our vote counts in Alabama, but not to my liking. We're a Republican state, red. We haven't wavered in years, and people don't even campaign down here anymore. Oh well. There were other things on the ballot that matter. I voted on everything.
While there were problems at the polling places, the inspectors and regulators there were very helpful to everybody. And I saw people helping others. Not telling them who, to vote for, but explaining how to vote. I saw an old white man helping a young black man vote. I call that progress in Alabama and will be one of the positive things I'll remember from this election.
