Last night I began coding pages for the website project my friend and I are doing. I started with the front page. I took what we had designed and cut it up in slices, then saved the wrong file, had to start over, cut it up in slices again, saved the files wrong, had to resave, began putting the slices together in the html, had to start over and resize, and after about 6 hours straight, the front page was finished.

Then I had that moment were I thought this thing would take a week and a half to finish. But then I worked on the next page, the news page, and things went much faster. While I didn't get it finished, I was able to slice it, cut the slices, and plug them into the html to get about half of it finished in about an hour, much faster than the front page.

Slices are basically little squares and rectangles that you cut and save out as separate images. Then on the webpage, you put them together like a jigsaw puzzle. This helps large images load faster.

In other news, I submitted my short story "Dead to Us" to a publication. I hate postage. Why are stamps so expensive? It should be 25 cents. If any of the other shipping companies could come up with their version of a 25 cent stamp for letters, they'd put everybody else out of business.
