How come most of the characters in children stories seem retarded? I help my nephew with his homework which includes small books and a big book filled with stories. I swear 90% of the characters, albeit animals or people, are retarded. Child doesn't mean dumb. Dr. Seuss is a good example of a writer who wrote smart stories that had smart children, people, or "things" as characters.

The month of February was tough. I am still recovering from some kind of evil cold. Though, jh2media, Jon and I, was able to finish the redesign on one of our clients, Beyond The Ashes. Head on over and check it out. We're currently working on a new client's site.

I've been checking out flight information for a trip from here to Tokyo. It's roughly eighteen and half hours to get there and sixteen and a half to get back. I imagine the difference in time has something to do with the jet stream or something similar. I'm having a hard time imagining myself on a plane for nearly nineteen hours straight. To be honest, I'm having a hard time imagining myself on a plane for nineteen minutes. Flying is not my thing. But I can't figure out another way to get to Japan. I looked at cruises, but the cruise is the focus, the boat. They're not going to ferry me over and pick me up in two weeks. I also thought about trying to just get a ride with some kind of oil ship or cargo ship. Maybe it would be better to fly to a city, get off the plane, hang out, get on a different plane, and then fly to another city hopscotching my way along. You'd hit like ten different cities. That would take longer, but it would divide the time up. I bet that'd be more expensive, though.

I also noticed that there's an airport in Hiroshima. I don't think I'd feel comfortable as an American flying into Hiroshima. Though, of course, if I were to ever go, I'm Canadian, eh. That's aboot all there is to it. I wouldn't be Canadian because I'm ashamed of America. I'm proud of American and proud to be one. I just don't want to explain to everybody I meet that I did not vote for W and do not agree with W. That'd just take too much time.

Of course, any trip to somewhere like Japan is way off and a long time from now. There's a lot to be done between here to then. In the meantime, I'm thinking of going to Atlanta, GA. I've heard so much about their efficient roadways.  ¶ 5:20 PM
