I had to get gas today. It's more expensive now. Gas prices have gone up in Alabama again. It won't be much longer before I can't afford to drive to the gas station. You know what we need? Lawyers, guns, and money. They'll get us out of this. Or maybe all the illegal aliens who have been marching for more than a week can help us. Somebody needs to ask them how to lower gas prices.

I bet nobody would be upset about Iraq is there was really as much oil there as W and his fellows had thought. I saw W on TV today trying to justify the leaking/releasing of classified information. He said he couldn't comment on an ongoing investigation and then commented on it. He said after the "liberation of Iraq" -- he actually said "liberation" -- that there was some questions about the reasons why we went to war. So he decided to release the classified information so that people could see the truth.

I have problems with that. First off, let's look at the information that was classified. It said that Iraq had tried to buy stuff to build a nuclear bomb. That information has turned out to be false. This is the same information that Cheney used when he said that Iraq was trying to buying stuff to build a nuclear bomb. He said, "pretty well confirmed." Later, when asked about saying, "pretty well confirmed," he said he never said that. By now, surely, you've seen the Meet The Press video clip of him saying, "pretty well confirmed."

Okay, so the classified information was released so that people could see the truth as to why we went to war, but the classified information turned out to be false.

Second, where does Valerie Plane come into all of this? She's the undercover CIA agent who was outed by Scooter Libby, Cheney's go-to-guy, Cheney's Cheney. Scooter Libby put Valerie Plane's life in danger and all the other undercover agents that she was connected to, both ours and all the foreign agents that she worked with. Scooter Libby says that Cheney said Bush said to leak the information. Which information? The untrue classified information or Valerie Plane's name? And how odd that Joe Wilson, Valerie Plane's husband, was the one who questioned the information about Iraq trying to buy stuff to make a nuclear bomb.

Bush, sadly, is protected by the constitution and can release or declassify information any time he wishes for what ever reason. Cheney on the other hand may or may not be able to do that. There's some debate if he has constitutional power to do so. And if Scooter was acting on Cheney's orders or W's, then he can't be held accountable for leaking the information either. However, he is in trouble for lying about it to investigators. Naughty boy. You should have told the truth in the first place.

Anybody remember when W said that if anybody was involved with the leaking of classified information that they would be out of a job? He said he was real interested in finding out who leaked the information. Well, he did. He released it to show the people the truth. He said that today. Libby says that Cheney said that Bush said to leak the information.

But don't worry. There will never be a chance for either the President or Cheney to answer publicly to this. They'll never answer a direct question ever. Why? They can hide behind, "...there's an ongoing investigation so I can't comment." W and his fellows will keep their mouth shut on this one, and over time, it'll be accepted. It won't fade, but the American people will just learn to live with it like we're having to learn to live with everything else W's Administration has ever done. So far, with them pretending that they've never done anything wrong and that all is right with the world and Iraq, 36% of American still buy their lies. I'll bet that W's administration is waiting on something big to fix all the problems. What could that be? Osama's head for one. They bring out his head on a stick, and W's approval rating hit's 49%. If W can get gas prices to go down, W will hit 56%. That's all it takes. Two things. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have Osama's head on ice just waiting for election day.  ¶ 1:33 AM
