TV's 'Mr. Wizard' Don Herbert dies at 89
Growing up, there wasn't a week that didn't go by where I didn't get in trouble by trying to do something that I saw on his show, "Mr. Wizard's World" "Mr. Wizard's World" ran on Nickelodeon from 1983 to 1991 (with reruns to 2000 making it the longest running show on Nickeloden). Don Herbert was more famous for his 1951 to 1972 show, "Watch Mr. Wizard". There was also a Canadian revival, "Mr. Wizard" which ran from 1971 to 1975.
